| Motion picture production companies create and use thousands of props in every movie in order to create the illusion of the time period in which the story is taking place. The license plates seen here are movie props made for that purpose. Printed on relatively thin cardboard, they often lack detail which causes them to appear less than authentic. Note, for example, the lack of bolt holes. No matter, as when in use they are simply fastened to the vehicle with tape or Velcro. |
